Hola, my name is Salvia Divinorum. I am an innocent looking member of the mint family from Mexico, where I have been used as a shamanic tool by the Mazatec Indians in Oaxaca for hundreds of years. A powerful hallucinogenic sage, my name literally translates as “Sage of the Seers”. Other names people call me by are Diviner’s Sage, Magic Mint, Sally-D or Salvia. My leaves contain the extremely potent dissociative psychedelic compound Salvinorin A. In recent years I have become very popular around the world, bringing people in touch with cosmic consciousness. Many people smoke my dried leaves, but I do not like this heat. Chew me for 30-40 minutes or extract me into liquid form, so that my magical powers can be absorbed sublingually through the mucus membranes in your mouth.

CHARACTERISITICS OF SALVIA DIVINORUM
How do you take me?
I am most commonly smoked, often with a pipe. But I do not like to be smoked, this often leads to scary trips. You will enjoy me best when I am chewed or used as a tincture.
Chew me or keep the tincture in your mouth for approximately 40 minutes. The first effects arise after 15 minutes or so and gradually develop to their peak approximately 30 minutes after ingestion. My Divine High lasts 30 minutes to an hour, and then gradually diminishes over the following additional 30 to 60 minutes.
If you are still going to smoke me, despite my advice, use a different pipe than you will be using for other smokeable substances, as I tend to linger. This aspect can be attributed to the fact that Salvinorin A, the psychoactive compound present in my leaves, is the strongest naturally occurring psychedelic known to man.
My leaves purchased by traditional means come in a series of levels, beginning at 5x (the weakest) and normally topping out at 20x. Depending on the result desired, half a gram of natural dried leaves is considered a good mid-level dose – simply adjust based on the level you’ve got on hand. For example, if your product is 10x, .05 of a gram, it will get you to the mid-level standard. However, products and doses will vary depending on my different strains and amount of extract enhancement.
Known for hitting hard and hitting fast, my onset when smoked begins as quickly as fifteen seconds after ingestion, typically peaking after three minutes. The descending period is a bit longer, normally lasting between five minutes and a half hour.

What you need to know!
It is important to understand that I am not a party drug. I am not “fun” in the way that alcohol or Cannabis can be. Use me in a safe setting, a comfortable, private environment with an entheogenic guide or shaman. I can evoke fun and playfulness within you, but this will be through committing to your honoring your shadows, or a byproduct of the work we do together.
My leaf is physically quite safe and gentle on your body. Studies have shown that rodents exposed to three times the highest known human dose (6400mcg) experienced no severe toxic effects. No one has ever died from an overdose.
At low doses or when using the chewing method, salvia causes tingling sensations and heightened awareness. However, at mid-levels and above, salvia’s effects can often be rather overwhelming and require supervision.
Overly high dosages of my magic will still result in leaving this reality, loss of movement capabilities, and other extreme symptoms.
I don’t like to be combined with most of the other drugs!
